MANAGING CONFLICT
In today’s work place, everyone has experienced conflict and the stress that comes from having unresolved conflicts with our co-workers. Conflicts that are ignored or resolved badly don’t go away – they cause people to feel resentful and to avoid each other. The effects on the company are a loss of productivity, absenteeism and turnover.
The Conflict Management workshop focuses on helping participants deal with negative and interpersonal conflict more effectively through the DiSC® learning instrument and strategies for Conflict Management.

  • Understand the difference between conflict, disagreement and confrontation
  • Use the DiSC® learning instrument to understand personality and behavioral strengths and weaknesses as well as your own conflict style
  • Recognize and appreciate different conflict styles
  • Deal effectively with positive and negative criticism
  • Understand when and how to confront someone about a problem
  • Turning conflict into collaboration – resolution, compromise and agreeing to disagree
  • Learn when to get involved: mediation and third party interventions
  • Develop communication skills necessary to work through conflict productively
  • Apply skills in addressing and resolving conflict through practice and feedback
